Ciao! I’m Matteo Colantoni, the founder of Roman Eagle Travel. My story starts right here in the charming streets of Rome, where I was born and raised. For ten years, I worked on the ground as a tour guide, living and breathing history every single day. Before finding my true path, I actually studied computer science, but I soon realized that a life behind a desk just wasn’t for me. My real heart was always in languages, the hidden layers of my city’s past, and the simple joy of connecting with people from all over the world. This led me to study languages at La Sapienza University. After a decade of guiding, I decided to open this agency, utilizing all the local connections and secret spots I’d discovered along the way. Because I’ve spent so much time in the field, I know how to craft the perfect private tour Italy experience and, more importantly, I understand what you as a traveler really value.
